It’s Day Two

In a bid to create a habit, I’m here again posting our progress. It’s going to be a short one again, but none the less we’ve made progress.

We woke this morning to cool autumn air, the moon was still shining high in the sky as the sun was peeking over the horizon. At 7 o ‘ clock I asked Lola if she’d like to go for a walk, expecting a ‘no, I haven’t had breakfast yet!’ Instead she replied with  ‘Yes, let’s go now!’

She raced off to find some socks, put a warm coat over the top of her jammies, and before I knew it she was standing there waiting for a bleary eyed me. Of course, I couldn’t say no to the enthusiasm so quickly put on jeans and a jumper before heading out of the door; I did find the time to cover my head, for which I was grateful as it was misty once we started walking.

It’s lovely to be out and about early in the morning. We live in Somerset and are surrounded by fields, and the views across the valley today did not disappoint.

It’s at times like these we realise how easy it is to not think twice. To drop everything and do something spontaneous, to make the most of the moment. We we rewarded with beautiful views and a lovely boost of fresh air to start the day. Really, you should try it some time!
